Forget Black Friday...Reign in Cyber Monday

Got heartburn from the stuffing your mom made and don’t feel like hoofing it to the mall the day after Thanksgiving with the rest of the shopping schleps? Looks like this is your lucky year. Now, instead of Black Friday, the day traditional retailers monitor store traffic and sales for the holiday sales season, it’s all about Cyber Monday. Yes, that’s right folks, now that online holiday shopping has been creeping steadily into store sales, it’s time to give the Monday after Thanksgiving a name—and somebody out there thought Cyber Monday sounded good. According to the Shop.org/BizRate Research 2005 eHoliday Mood Study, 77 percent of online retailers said that their sales increased substantially last year on this Monday, a trend that is driving serious online discounts and promotions on Cyber Monday this year. So now you can sleep off your turkey and play video games the day after Thanksgiving, and just do your Christmas shopping online. At work. According to the eHoliday Mood Study, 43 percent of online retailers plan to offer special promotions and discounts on Cyber Monday. Deals will range from free shipping to gifts with purchase to percentages off.

Zubbles: The Makings of a Technicolor Dreamcoat

There is a feature in Popular Science where inventor, Tim Kehoe has unlocked the secret of color bubbles that don't leave color on your clothes, walls, anything when they pop. The process of figuring this out took 11 years. Kehoe found himself a mad chemist and developed a "dye molecule from an unstable base structure called a lactone ring..." Okay whatever, all you need to know is that it won't leave a stain on your clothes and it comes out in stores February 2006.

Cavalli Entry to Fashion Phones
Oh. My. Goodness. Roberto Cavalli has partnered with 3 Hong Kong partners to create an extremely limited-edition 3G Fashion Phone. The result: three chic animal-print hides. Orders are being taken from Friday, and there are two requirements for suitable candidates.
Firstly, you’re going to need more than £7,000 in pocket change to be taken seriously. Secondly, you’re going to have to act fast because Roberto’s one-of-a-kind philosophy means that only 1,089 of the new video mobile phones have been produced for the world to fight over – which, by the way, is downright unfair.
What else can we tell you about the Roberto Cavalli Fashion Phone other than that we’re completely smitten? Oh, it comes with a bottle of the Italian designer’s Serpentine EDP perfume tucked inside.

A good alternative to this would be www.mytego.com where you can design your own phone to be high end as well (Shameless plug....I know, I know, but hey we have to eat too!)

LG's Hot Phone of the Time
The VX9800 has a long laundry list of compelling features, including a color outer display, a stunning 320 x 256 pixel landscape oriented inner display, Text to speech, EVDO, excellent speakerphone, Bluetooth, stereo speakers, 1.3 megapixel camera with flash, 56 megs of available memory, miniSD card slot, MP3 player, voice recorder, Verizon Wireless Sync compatibility, extremely sturdy build and best of all a QWERTY keyboard with dedicated number row inside. It was announced in the US on the Verizon network on Sept. 20, 2005 and appeared in most Verizon stores early October. WOW! What a phone! I want one now!

Cool Blue Water
You always get foamy white/clear water, and sometimes brown depending where you live. Think about this: You have just cooked a nice dinner for your date and she asks for some water and it comes out in a sexy mood inducing blue stream? All you do is turn the water on, and the running water activates the LED, making the water look bright blue. You could also use it as an additional light source for doing sexy dishes. Each faucet light set includes 3 button cell batteries, a wire screen, 2 universal adapters. All of that for about $14.97. Not too bad for something that’ll add some pizazz to the bathroom, letting you wash in the same blue colored water that swirls around the toilet bowl. Ah, refreshing!

Celebrating the dawn of a new era in entertainment, Canada will come together on October 26, 2005 for the unveiling of the Xbox 360™ future-generation game and entertainment system from Microsoft.
It has been rumored for a long time that the Xbox 360 will feature customizable faceplates similar to those found in recent cell phones. myTego.com is happy to announce that they will be the exclusive supplier of custom Xbox 360 skins for the October 26, 2005 Microsoft XBOX 360 Unveiling Party in Canada.

myTego is to provide the only completely customer customized product which reflects the users own tastes and styles. For this project, High Road Communications, the Microsoft Canada Xbox 360 PR firm and organizers of the event created 6 unique designs – however, myTego online customers have the unique ability to create something of their own. myTego’s removable, adhesive-backed vinyl mobile device skins and gaming console skins are manufactured with the highest quality materials and are precision cut for each device model to ensure a perfect fit.

Those early adopters with Microsoft XBOX 360’s can now fully personalize it using the interactive Tego Builder; they can upload their own photos or artwork, skew, stretch, rotate the image, change the color of the background, and write text. All of this is then transformed into unique, personal skins, delivered to their door for their XBOX 360 by myTego. "We have made the process of customizing your electronic devices in an easy to follow layout which has been met with positive response from consumers. It only became natural to make cusotmizable features for the XBOX 360. At myTego.com we provide an interactive platform for XBOX 360 owners to fully personalize and customize a Tego Skin for their device; this offers a whole new level of personalization and customization which has been highly touted for the XBOX 360" said Johnny Kien, Marketing Advisor for myTego, Inc. "We are the kings of customization and we are very pleased that we could be the exclusive suppliers of customizable XBOX 360 Tego skins for this event.”
Tego skins are available immediately online and are available worldwide, through myTego's online store at www.myTego.com.
